Welsh Christian Democrats Establish Presence in National Politics
European Christian Democrats Stand Behind CPA in May Election

As a Christian-democratic party in the Netherlands, we have a
long-standing relationship with the Christian Peoples Alliance. They have

Politics is changing in Wales. Voters are backing candidates and parties which serve the people and stand firm against the tide of political conformity.
With more and more people recognising the role that Christianity has played in forming the identity and values of the Welsh people, CPA Wales has been formed to offer voters a Christian choice at election time.
If you share our goal and want Christianity to guide Welsh values and public policy, why not help us?
Your say will matter as we develop policy, win more votes and gain fresh support. For too long, the Christian contribution in Wales to tackling poverty, building community and instilling values from the teachings of the Bible have been ignored by politicians and the media. To reverse this trend, we need your help.
In the census of 2001, the people of Wales were asked what religion they were. They were told the question was voluntary and the first option they were given to choose was "None". 72% chose to pass over this option and to describe themselves as "Christian". 72% of the population of Wales is over 2 million people. The question CPA Cymru is asking is this:
As most of us in Wales are Christian in belief, and this is a democracy, why can't we live in a country which recognises and respects Christianity?
If you think that we should show more respect for God in our national institutions and national life, then now is the time to see Christian Democracy flourish because new Assembly powers will allow much greater opportunity to put Wales's Christian principles into practice.
Your support, involvement and membership will help make that difference.
