Former Candidates in 2007
The following candidates are no longer members of CPA Wales

Anthony Jeremy
South Wales CentralAnthony has been practising law in Cardiff for three decades. As spokesman in Wales for the Christian Peoples Alliance he will defend the link between Christian culture in Wales and a free and open society, governed by the rule of law. Before joining the CPA, Anthony was a SDP Alliance councillor on South Glamorgan County Council and Chairman of Governors at Cardiff High School. He stood for Parliament at the last election for the Pro Life Alliance. Anthony is Research Fellow at the Centre for Law and Religion in Cardiff. His aim is for CPA Wales to strengthen the Welsh Christian tradition and reverse the neglect of Christian values in public affairs, especially in provision for vulnerable and socially excluded people. He is an active fundraiser and founder Trustee of the Bosnian Orphans Trust and a member of the Order of Merit of the Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem, bringing projects for support in medical areas. He is married to Sarah and they have 5 children.

Joseph Biddulph
Mid and West WalesA former constituency chairman in Plaid Cymru, he joined CPA Wales because of the party's commitment to tackling exclusion as a fundamental priority. He says Labour, Plaid Cymru, the Liberal Democrats and Conservatives have little real understanding of the "have nots" in Wales. Working in Pontypridd as a self-employed publisher of language booklets and as a part-time gardener and handyman, Joseph began his career as a teacher. He has been Chairman of Directors of a local credit union with a commitment to enabling the poor and disadvantaged to make use of it. He served as secretary to the Rhydyfelin Community Centre and as a member of his local Community Health Council. Joseph is currently a member of the National Council of SPUC and stood at the last election for the Pro Life Alliance. Joseph is married to Margaret and they have five children.

Anne Savoury
South Wales WestA neuropsychologist nurse by training, Anne now works in Cardiff as a voluntary tutor in languages and theoretical science. Having been a long-standing member of the Labour Party, Anne was dismissed for standing as an independent Pro Life candidate for Parliament in 2001. She joined CPA Cymru to provide a real alternative for committed Christians who cannot in conscience vote for the anti-life policies of the secular parties. Anne's passion is to promote the link in government between policies and Gospel values. Anne says that if we respect life from the outset, government must necessarily promote just and healthy policies for people of all ages. For this reason, she says the basis of her philosophy is that every person is a gift; God does not make mistakes - He does not make rubbish. Anne is spokeswoman for the Society for the Protection of the Unborn Child and debates regularly around the country in schools, colleges and in the media. A former nun, Anne is disabled with a hereditary wasting disease.
